The Permeable Paving Jointing Mortar
ROMPOX® - DRAIN is a highly-water permeable two-component jointing mortar suitable for driveways, parking spaces and all light vehicular loading applications. Classic resin jointing solution that is self-compacting, water emulsifiable and suitable for all natural stone and concrete surfaces. Resistant to ants, weeds, frost, de-icing salt and is pressure washer safe.

1. Mixing
Pour the 55 lbs filler material into the mixing tub and start the mixing process. Whilst mixing, slowly add the ROMPOX® DRAIN components into the mixture. Use professional agitator or rotary-drum mixer / compulsory mixer.

2. Add Water
After mixing for 3 minutes add 2 litres | 0.53 gal of water. Fill up the two previously emptied resin/hardener bottles with 1 litres | 0.26 gal of water, close, shake vigorously and add the contents of the bottle to the mixture. Continue mixing well for at least 3 minutes.

3. Pre-Wet
Intensely pre-wet surface. Porous surfaces as well as higher surface temperatures, require more intense pre-wetting.

4. Application
Apply the mixed pavement jointing mortar onto the pre-wetted surface by pouring out in three or four spots to optimise flow capacity. Work carefully into the joints using a squeegee/rubber slider, ensuring it passes deep into the joints and fills them completely.

5. Sweep Off
After approx. 10 minutes the excess mortar on the surface of the stones can be swept off carefully with a large, coarse broom. The correct moment for sweeping, is when white smears no longer form on the stone surface during sweeping.

6. Final Cleaning
Finally, use a soft hair broom to do a final cleaning until all residual mortar has been removed from the surface. Sweeping should be done diagonally to the joint. Do not re-use swept off material.
